PRIMARY
FUNCTION
Primarily responsible for performing general clerical duties including order data entry and accurate record maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Perform clerical function related to the processing of orders, ensuring the timely acquisition of supplies, equipment and materials
Complete order entry into purchasing management software (EAM, M3, ERP system) including preparing purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders, obtain price quotes when needed, etc.;
Monitor and track purchase orders; contact suppliers for late or missing orders when needed
Prepare purchasing reports as requested ensuring data reported is accurate and up to date
Assist with monthly inventory
All other relevant duties as requested by supervisor or manager
EDUCATION and
CERTIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a clerical position
Ability to communicate (both speak and write) and comprehend English fluently
Ability to fluently communicate both internally and externally in a timely and professional manner
Must have proficient computer and math skills
Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment when needed and the ability to effectively multi-task
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize to complete tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Must be able to work unsupervised to complete all tasks
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Follow all departmental and company safety policies and programs
Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 20 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally.
Ability to frequently move about the facility
