Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living. The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Inventory & Production Departments.
All Production Schedulers Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces the required paperwork needed for the specifically assigned area; must read and understand the various types of production paperwork. Utilizes different types of printers and machines to produce specifically assigned paperwork. Understands the location of each department and what type of paperwork they received to effectively executes daily tasks Knowledge of the specific production dates and paperwork types you are printing. Checks the paperwork to make sure the production date matches the correct color of paperwork in the printer, while printing paperwork for different zones taking into consideration the different lead times. Releases orders for items that the customer orders, so each department can start their process to build the cabinet Utilizes knowledge of different components that make a cabinet or accessory item during the scheduling process Utilizes knowledge of the different manufacturing departments and their location in the plan, to help understand what type of paperwork each department will need. Completes paperwork for a specific production area. Runs standard production, understanding the basic finish dates, leaning on lead time knowledge. Uses basic SAP programs & Microsoft Excel Recreates production paperwork for your area upon request Once the orders are scheduled the scheduler prints production orders for a week and a half out from current date. Printing paperwork for orders (pic paperwork for parts that must be picked, build paperwork for different areas) Run reports to complete daily schedules to see what is missing from production (3 day, 2 day, 1 day late and rush orders). Look for missing parts in the extra parts buggies (at parts delivery areas depending on department). Create red-dot ticket for parts missing that have to ship for current date. Go to pick area to collect parts that are missing (depending on the department). Take parts to transaction clerk to ensure parts are removed from inventory. Work with other departments to expedite short or missing parts to complete daily production orders. (deliver part to next operation to have completed (example: sand, paint, etc. depending on the department parts are needed for). Production Scheduler Level 2: Produces production paperwork for multiple areas Understands multiple production dates for the different production processes to effectively execute assigned tasks. Creates and uses multiple Sap programs Must be proficient in Micro Soft Excel with the ability to manipulate the requested data to get the desired result. Recreates production data in multiple production areas Corrects basic scanning issues from the plant upon request.
Tools, Machinery and Equipment:
Tape Measure Production labels or paperwork Safety glasses, gloves (optional) Possible use of machines/hand tools (table saw, band saw, chop saw, groover machines, etc. and or any air tools). Computer with access to printer.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of the different types of components that make a cabinet or accessory item. Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
Know various wood types:
Maple, Hickory, Cherry, Oak, MDF, etc. Required to learn the product depending on assigned job – (Door styles, Face Frames, Mouldings, cabinet parts, etc.) Ability to interpret paperwork, build tickets, product labels, etc. Computer skills required to run reports to complete daily schedules to support production (3 day, 2 day, 1 day late and rush orders) Required to work with other departments to expedite short or missing parts to complete daily production orders. Must be team oriented, interactive, and possess strong communication skills. Constant contact with dept. leads and Supervisors from various departments. Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Will be solely responsible for ensuring parts match paperwork and or product by correct size, style, qty and color. Knowledge of how to reorder red dot parts for missing or scrapped items from production. Must be a self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow a list of daily work assignments. Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity. Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience. Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks. Organization and planning
