Description Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Reviews and posts items received for remote deposit capture. Responsible for the accurate and efficient posting of all incoming mailed payments and deposits. Administers payroll deduction for members; balances payroll checks/wires/ACH to system and investigates exceptions; includes contact with benefit partners and payroll companies for set-up and ensures proper posting. Processes and balances various files received from the Federal Reserve and makes appropriate adjustments for exceptions. Balances corporate ATM checks. Processes member and corporate wire requests in accordance with Federal and credit union regulations. Processes currency orders for branches and ATMs. Reconciles various DDA and general ledger accounts. Prepares and files various operational reports. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner. 2. Develop and maintain knowledge of all relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. 3. Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness. 4. Complete processing within the established time frames of the department with zero unresolved errors and no direct losses to the Credit Union. 5. Keep management informed of operating issues affecting the department.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One to three years of similar or related experience. Experience with account and check evaluation a plus. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills Ideal candidate would have good understanding of the fraud, risks and appropriate regulations associated with RDC. Demonstrates the ability to assess risk, exercise discretion and handle sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows. Capable of quick and accurate use of a 10-key calculator. Must be organized and have the ability to work with multiple priorities, coordinate team deadlines and exhibit good judgment.
