Description
The Backorder Expeditor is required to understand Microsoft Dynamics
AX 2012, CAT
Antares, and other systems related to CAT parts ordering systems and follow up to support the needs of the customers.
Work closely with Parts Managers and Service Departments to help expedite orders to meet customer needs
Mentor parts and service departments on the best practices of ordering parts (Smart Sourcing, planned orders, expedited shipping, etc.)
Develop relationships with CAT Personnel to best maximize service
Review all open backorders on a regular basis.
Resolve parts technical issues with CAT
Report and follow up on quality control issues with CAT
Learn the other job functions in the department which includes but not limited to: CAT invoices, claims, rapid response returns, special needs orders and literature.
Possess the ability to schedule a wide variety of transportation methods (LTL, UPS, air freight, dedicated courier, etc.)
