Shift:

6:30 am to 4:30 pm Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon. This is a 10-hour shift, 4 days a week, totaling 40 hours weekly. A successful Scheduler will have strong organizational skills as well as strong communication skills for managing incoming calls and working with both internal staff and clients. They should have a professional voice and experience working with people. Here are several skills and qualifications a Scheduling Dispatcher should have: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must read, write, and speak clear English.
High degree of emotional self-control.
High moral character and integrity.
Must have strong verbal, problem-solving, and follow-up skills, and the ability to coordinate and perform several tasks simultaneously.
A highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can work independently.
A strong and clear writer, able to quickly and articulately prepare clear and appropriate emails and reports.
Excellent computer skills. Knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn programs quickly.
Must be a team player – work well with others; understands the role each person plays in the organization and seeks assistance when needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Establish, maintain, and review staffing schedules.
Match available staff to positions and communicate schedules via email, text, or phone calls.
Minimize avoidable overtime and contact/redeploy staff to cover call-offs.
Respond to schedule changes and client requests and input relevant information into the automated resource system.
Take, log, and complete daily shift reports, using the phone heavily to contact and schedule officers.
Always ensure adequate site coverage by tracking requests for time off, including vacation and personal leave, to maintain operations.
Respond to emergencies, call-offs, and absences to ensure client sites are adequately staffed, acting as a call center for remote posts.
Escalate significant incident reports and other relevant reports to the appropriate department manager(s). The ideal candidate is an effective multitasker with strong proficiency in WinTeam and Excel. They should be able to manage stress and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion. Clear communication with multiple levels of management is essential. This position reports to the Dispatch and Scheduling Manager and works closely with both the Branch and Operations Managers.

Additional Duties:

Oversee camera feeds to ensure compliance and safety.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
Ability to maintain composure when interacting with executives, clients, staff, and the public.
Capable of sustaining attention and concentration for extended periods.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform well under significant time pressure as dictated by company demands.
Consistently and efficiently fulfill the general duties and responsibilities outlined above.
Must have a clean background and be able to obtain any required certifications or licenses.
Availability for first, second, and third shifts is required.
Continuously demonstrate attention to detail, maintain a professional attitude, and uphold confidentiality.
Capable of remaining professionally composed when faced with unusual circumstances.

You must have the physical ability to perform the job. Occasionally bend/twist at the waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods.
Sitting for long periods in front of a computer.
