Your Role As a People Operations Coordinator at SAS, you’ll deliver critical administrative support to our People Operations (HR) department and ensure an exceptional employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. You’ll act as the first point of contact for our team, manage key processes in our HRIS, and partner with people-centric initiatives that foster engagement and efficiency. As a People Operations Administrator, you will: Coordinate Onboarding & Offboarding Partner with Hiring Managers, IT, Facilities, Security and other departments to set up new-hire workstations, system access, building badges, and welcome logistics Coordinate background checks, benefits enrollment logistics, and new-hire paperwork intake Conduct exit logistics, facilitate offboarding checklists, and ensure return of company assets Conduct New Hire Orientation Lead comprehensive HR orientation sessions for all new employees, covering company policies, benefits programs, performance expectations, and culture Prepare and distribute orientation materials, presentations, and welcome kits Maintain Employment Records Enter, update, and audit employee data (new hires, transfers, terminations) across HR systems Assist with the preparation of documentation for audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance Drive Process Improvements Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy Support People Ops projects—employee surveys, engagement events, and policy roll-outs Cultivate a Positive Employee Experience Build strong relationships across teams to promote an inclusive and respectful culture Act as an ambassador for SAS values and our “people first” mindset
Required Experiences and Competencies:
To qualify for this role candidates must have the following: One (1)+ years of experience in People Operations / Human Resources Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong service mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality Prior experience supporting a manufacturing or multi-site workforce is beneficial High attention to detail and time management
