Production Coordinator III Position Available In Madison, Alabama

General DescriptionSchedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of

Electrical and Machine Shops:

Creates and reviews master production schedules, establishes priorities, and revises schedule according to work flow, established priorities, and availability of workers and equipment.

Duties

• Create Shop Load reports with workers and equipment
• Create weekly/monthly dispatch reports to operations to ensure priorities are being worked
• Review shop routers prior to release and load planning factors that meet planning policies
• Review BOMs as needed to help ensure accuracy
• Prints and distributes manufacturing data packages for assigned projects on scheduled plan release dates
• Attends material review board meetings and help determine root cause and help determine method for correcting nonconformance
• Coordinate with Program Managers, Production Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers in implementing engineering changes
• Monitor the execution of the production plan and escalate potential issues in a timely manner
• Create and print vendor consignment notice and coordinates outside processing
• Work closely and maintain professional relationships with all members of the manufacturing team
• Expedite material from building to building “as required” to assist with production flow
• Helps develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality
• Maintain schedules and priorities of assigned projects to ensure on-time delivery
• Helps interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
• Assist Planning department with day to day operations
• Other Duties as assignedEducation/Experience requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. CostPoint experience is a plus
• Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of production experience
• Must be able to review and understand production routers/BOMS prior to release
• Must have experience in creating and working with Bills of Material and government drawings
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers and management
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
• General Computer Skills required
• Able to multi-task; to include forecasting and effectively communication with a wide-variety of work disciplines to provide up-to-date technical information on queries associated with assigned projects
