Position Description:

The Senior Scheduler will support the development, integration, and analysis of schedules for NASA’s SLS program based out of Marshall Space Flight Center. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, conducting schedule health assessments, and providing recommendations to ensure project alignment and performance. This position is located in our USA AL Huntsville

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) aligned with the program work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Analyze schedule performance, calculate metrics, identify critical paths, and provide recommendations.
  • Update program and project schedules monthly within Microsoft Project Server, ensuring schedule accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain summary schedule charts for Artemis missions using Milestones Professional for integration and reviews.
  • Review and report on SLS Element prime contractor schedules and provide monthly reports on findings.
  • Lead assessments, including schedule risk assessments (SRAs) and Joint Confidence Level (JCL) analyses.
  • Coordinate with Prime Contractor schedulers and manage schedule links across SLS Elements.
  • Develop and update milestone schedules and phasing plans with Element management.
  • Occasional travel to contractor and NASA facilities as required.
    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • 17 years of applicable experience (12 years in Aerospace/Research and Development)
  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling principles, tools, and analysis techniques.
  • Experience performing probabilistic schedule risk analysis and schedule health analysis.
  • Experience using Milestones Professional and schedule risk tools (Full Monte, Acumen Fuse, etc.) desired.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Extensive experience using commercial schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Experience with implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools.
  • Basic understanding of EIA-748 standard earned value management (EVM) principles.
    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or the College of Performance Management (CPM).

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $111,600.00
