Imaging Scheduler Urology Associates of Mobile Mobile, AL 36608

Summary of Job:

Obtain pre-certification and benefits, alert patients of required copays/deductibles, and schedule all imaging tests

Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtain pre-certification and benefits for imaging tests ordered by assigned provider. Ensure pre-certification and benefits information is properly documented within the patient record. Collect co-pays and deductibles prior to imaging tests. Schedule imaging tests for your assigned provider. Respond to all patient phone calls regarding scheduled imaging questions within 24 hours. Knowledge of Allscripts is a plus. Maintain a professional and polite demeanor at all times. Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required 3+ years of surgery/imaging scheduling experience is required

Job Requirements:

Employee must be able to communicate clearly with patients. Employee must be able to keep an organized workflow and effectively manage multiple tasks at one time. Employee must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period.
