Ideal candidates will have a background in the heavy civil infrastructure industry and will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing multiple schedules for medium to large construction projects. Job Scope Develop and manage conceptual (RFP), bidding (preconstruction), and final project schedules using preliminary and ongoing project information for estimating, preconstruction, and operations departments. Attend job site meetings, work with stakeholders, and visit job sites to develop project schedules. Create standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage projects. Build and maintain a database of activity groups with as-built information for future reference. Prepare Time Impact Analysis for identified risks to schedule and budget. Perform additional assignments as directed by management. Provide support and guidance to ensure timely, complete, and accurate baseline schedule submissions in compliance with company procedures and contracts. Assist with schedule maintenance and change order management as needed. Participate in financial and legal project reviews to evaluate and mitigate schedule risks in accordance with company procedures. Incorporate owner activities, project close-out activities, and input from Technical Services and Safety Departments into all project schedules. Develop documentation for claims and assist operations personnel in identifying and preventing potential claims. Participate in meetings regarding project delays and suggest alternative scheduling methods to recover project progress. Prepare monthly schedule status reports for project management and the Scheduling Manager. Maintain knowledge of company values and strategic plan. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering preferred. 7+ years of experience as a heavy civil construction scheduler. Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others. Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6. Proven ability to identify and mitigate scheduling issues for simple and complex construction projects. Proficient in generating and maintaining cost and resource-loaded schedules. Ability to self-prioritize and initiate projects and tasks. Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
