T he Project Scheduler II is responsible for but notlimited to exercising a qualified level of planning, scheduling,and reporting proficiency and providing schedule monitoring,control measures, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Develops, tracks and maintains project schedules(s), andschedules performance on active projects. Collects information from Subject Matter Experts, sequenceswork activities and makes logic links. Monitors milestone requirements and schedulingconstraints. Reports any issues to Project Managers and facilitates andparticipates in coordination with Project Managers and SystemMatter Experts (SME) to develop a recovery strategy. Meets with Project Managers to provide status, evaluatecritical path, and predictively assess project schedule. Creates project schedule narratives and reports. Analyzes scheduling change impact and performs what-ifanalysis. Exercises independent and professional judgment in solvingproblems and coordinating issues. Interacts with project managers, subcontractors and teampartners in solving scheduling issues. Adapts schedules to meet various project delivery methods orrequirements: design build, design bid build, informal bid,material purchases, cash flow, resources, etc. Works closely with the entire project management team toidentify and resolve schedule deviations and trends. Converts schedule information created in Microsoft Projects orother software to Primavera P6 when necessary. Update schedule as needed per project requirements. Works with Estimating depart to develop proposalschedules. Performs additional assignments as requested.•

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

:

  • Experience in preparing detailed schedules and cost loadedschedules for work being performed for current projects andprojects in the bid process.

Must be experienced in developing and maintaining the ProjectSchedules throughout the lifecycle of the projects. Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency with all necessary technological tools, includingMS Project, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and Outlookwith the ability to use other software as necessary. Proficiency in Bluebeam software. Proficiency in Primavera 6 software applications. Understanding of civil engineering design and constructionmethods and industry standards. Knowledge of mass grading and earthwork, stormwater management,underground utilities, erosion control, CCR project items, landfillproject items, and utility infrastructure requirements. Must be able to apply innovative and effective managementtechniques to maximize project performance. Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and taskwork. Meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectivelymulti-task similar activities in a fast paced, time sensitiveenvironment. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints,safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schedules,and project specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before clients, management,subcontractors and vendors of the organization. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, anddraw valid conclusions. Able to effectively organize numerous streams ofinformation. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to meet strict deadlines.

  • EDUCATIONAL ANDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, ProjectManagement, Construction Management or equivalent related field ofstudy.

Minimum of 3 years previous experience using P6 in ProjectScheduling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Works in an office environment at the Corporate office or inthe field. May be exposed to extreme temperatures in the field
  • hot andcold. May be exposed to chemicals, refuse and dirt fromjobsites. Moderate noise levels. May be exposed to other risks associated with working aroundheavy machines, tools and trucks.

  • Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s Licensewith driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines

  • This position requires 25% travel.
