Radiology Scheduling Specialist The Radiology Clinic 208 Mcfarland Circle North, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406 Job Description – Scheduling Specialist The scheduling clerk is responsible for answering incoming phone and scheduling appointments in accordance with the scheduling handbook in a timely and courteous manner. Essential Functions Scheduling

• Schedule exams in accordance with the scheduling handbook and relay information to referring physicians’ offices.
• Call patients and reschedule appointments as needed.
• Verify workman’s compensation status.
• Other duties as assigned Knowledge & Skills
• Medical industry experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high call volume.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Must be educated on and compliant with HIPAA. Education
• High School Degree or equivalent as a minimum. Computer Skills
• Accurate data entry skills are required.
• Ability to learn and master RIS and PACS applications.
• Able to type 40 words per minute. Physical Work Demands
• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.
• Able to speak clearly and communicate effectively.
• Requires normal, correctable vision and hearing. Other Work Demands
• Regular and on-time attendance.
• Must be educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
