Walk-in Scheduler Position Available In Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut

Job Description:

SNI Companies is working with a large Radiology Practice who isin need of a Walk-In Scheduler for their Newtown, PA location. Thisis a temp to hire opportunity, with room for growth and amazingbenefits on the perm side.

Job Duties:

Assist Walk-In Patients withgetting their procedure completed same day Answers telephone callsin the scheduling queue in a timely manner. Supports Lead inachieving departmental standard for wait times, work times, andabandonment rate. Verifies insurance contract requirements whenscheduling exams and reminds the patient of these requirements.

Verifies all patient demographic information. Accurately schedulesexams for the proper needs Effectively explains preps (actions apatient must take for a proper exam) to the patient, using termsthe patient can understand. Verifies patient understands all prepinstructions. Provides back up to Scheduling clerical supportresponsibilities, such as clearing right fax and batching scriptsinto system, verifying out-going faxes are successful and callingoffices when clarification is needed. Interfaces with Leadregarding any and all departmental concerns. Attends staff meetingsregularly and follows all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum of a High School Diploma required Must becomfortable working onsite with our client Experience in themedical field preferred, but not required Strong computer andpeople skills Ability to multitask and have an attention to detail

Hours:

Monday through Friday – 8 am – 4:30 pm and one rotatingSaturday every 2 month 8am-12pm
