Shop Foreman / CAD Programmer / Job Scheduler Pith Products L.L.C. Ashford, CT 06278
Responsibilities:
Proficiency with MasterCam and SolidWorks Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings and design documentation, including the ability to understand GD&T Must have ability to adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and operating sequences as needed and analyze G code Apply continuous improvements to the manufacturing process Must have advanced knowledge of material cutting as well as the ability to select and recommend tooling Schedule and integrate work with the Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Quality departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products utilizing a continuous improvement methodology Be a collaborator with ability to supervise others
Qualifications:
Must have excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation Familiarity with the latest technologies and equipment used in manufacturing processes Experience using MasterCam and SolidWorks Team leading ability Good critical thinking skills Ability to detect and solve problems Experience supervising shop floor Knowledge of JobBoss2 a plus but will train Per Dept. of Defense (DoD) regulations, must be a U.S. citizen
Work Environment:
While performing duties for this job, it is required to alternate between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, visual acuity, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling. Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor. Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles. Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials. Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data. Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.
Logistics:
In-person in Ashford, Connecticut Hours 6:30AM to 3:00PM, Monday to Friday with potentially occasional overtime
