Nesco Resource is looking for 1st & 2nd Shift OperationsAssociates located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to permopportunity for the right candidate.
Shift:
•1 st ShiftMonday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM•2 nd Shift Monday-Friday 3:30PM-12
AM Pay:
$18•20/Hour depending on experience
Overview:
Highly skilledoperator to execute key phases of high precision tube and wiremanufacturing including, but not limited to, tube and bar drawing,heat treating, precision cutting and centerless grinding. Completeall responsibilities per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) andwork instructions. Assist management to schedule and set prioritiesfor the orders on the floor. Assist maintenance and engineeringwith identifying area for improvements to the equipment, processsteps and documentation. Maintain a safe, organized and clean workenvironment. Communicate effectively to optimize Quality, Safetyand Efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the set up andoperation of machines for maximum efficiency. Set-up and maintainwire/tube processing equipment according to production schedule andquality standards•making minor adjustments as necessary. Operatemore than one equipment within an assigned work cell. Performin-process inspections and analyze data required by workinstructions, routers, and other specifications. Must be able toperform required inspections using precision measuring instruments,pin gauges, laser micrometer and other tools. Document basicprocess observations such as dimensional and shape changes of theproduct, tooling and equipment. Perform routine maintenance onequipment. Inspect drawing dies and tooling before and after eachuse. Inventory tools, fixtures and consumables for the assignedarea. Work with logistics personnel to meet corporate on-timedelivery, scrap and shipment goals. Collect information to workwith manufacturing engineering to improve processes, reduce scrapand increase productivity. Oversee that production/developmentpaperwork conforms to GMP. Enforce line clearance procedure. Trackwork order status and flow. Other responsibilities as required bySupervisor or Manufacturing Manager. Enter/maintain work ordersusing an electronic ERP system.
Qualifications:
Technical schoolsor college degree preferred, but not required. High School Degreeor equivalent required. Two to Five years of related experience ina manufacturing environment. Experience with Windows based PC’s andtheir related applications such as Excel and Word. Ability to read,analyse, and interpret production work instructions, routers andspecifications. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from operators and to upper management andauditors. Spanish skills language skills not required but would bean asset.
