Job Summary The Home Care Scheduler coordinates and manages caregiver schedules to ensure high-quality home care services for clients. This role involves assigning appropriate staff based on client needs, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service to both clients and caregivers. The Scheduler serves as a critical link between the caregiving team and clients to ensure seamless care delivery. //kalmiahomecare.smartcaresoftware.com/register/#! Key Responsibilities Create and manage caregiver schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all clients. Match caregivers to clients based on skills, availability, and client preferences. Monitor schedule adherence and address changes, call-offs, or emergencies promptly. Communicate schedule updates and changes to caregivers and clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding schedules and assignments. Respond to client and caregiver inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate records of schedules, shift changes, and client assignments. Track caregiver availability, certifications, and work hours for compliance. Update and manage scheduling software or systems efficiently. Assist with onboarding new caregivers by scheduling shadow shifts or training sessions. Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, caregiver absences, or last-minute client needs. Proactively identify and communicate potential scheduling challenges to management.
Qualifications and Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
1-2 years in scheduling, home care, healthcare, or related field. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively. Familiarity with home care operations, regulations, and best practices is a plus. Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Customer-focused with a positive attitude. Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
