Construction Scheduler              

Location:

Cocoa Beach, Florida Area; Remote with some travel, NTE 25%

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler in our MOCA Services Division with expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely project completion. The selected candidate will have experience with Work Breakdown Structures, Critical Path Method, Delay Claims, Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Cost Loading Methods. Periodic travel may be required to project sites each month – typically 1 week per month.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develop and maintain critical path method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Be able to analyze schedule logic, activity sequencing, and milestones.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather schedule data and update project timelines.

Provide or analyze schedule monthly through analysis of current progress versus baseline schedule and write narrative reports. Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues; analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.

Perform time impact analysis to support potential contract changes or request for equitable adjustment. Create schedule fragnets for inclusion in change order documentation.

Participate in monthly schedule review meetings with the client/contractor to review or analyze progress.

Ensure compliance with project timelines and contractual obligations.

Assist in resource allocation and workload balancing.

Conduct schedule risk analysis and provide mitigation strategies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedule documentation and records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, ABET-accredited engineering, architecture, or a related technical field is required. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is required.

Minimum of five years of experience in construction scheduling is required. Experience in scheduling with USACE or NAVFAC is preferred.

Familiarity with standard Earned Value Management principles for large projectsStrong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

US Citizenship required due to clientele and nature of projects supported.Â

Required Certifications:

Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification or able to obtain within 6 months.
