Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Operations Clerk with the ability to provide ad hoc pharmacy assistance to join our pharmaceutical operations team. This multifaceted role involves processing orders, managing shipping functions, delivering excellent customer service, efficiently handling stock movement, and supporting pharmacy activities as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Clerk Duties:
- Fill orders, prepare, and package pharmaceutical products for shipment in compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate shipping to healthcare providers and pharmacies.
- Maintain detailed shipping records and documentation, including invoices, shipping manifests, and compliance logs.
- Conduct thorough checks of shipment contents against order forms to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Must be able to do repetitive movements such taping, building boxes, reviewing order information and contents.
Customer Service Duties:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping information, product availability, and concerns through phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and complaints, providing effective solutions to enhance their satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales and pharmaceutical team to address customer needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Stock Mover Duties:
- Move, organize, and store pharmaceutical stock within the facility while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining product integrity.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular counts, identifying discrepancies, and reporting findings to management.
- Ensure that all stock is stored according to required temperature and environmental conditions to comply with pharmaceutical standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all stock handling and shipping areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to use moving equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, utility carts and other moving machinery.
Ad Hoc Pharmacy Assistance Duties:
- Support pharmacy staff with various tasks, including preparing medication orders and assisting with inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Participate in routine inspections of medications to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Assist in labeling and packaging pharmacy products as directed by the pharmacy team.
- Provide additional support during busy periods as required, ensuring that workflow remains efficient and uninterrupted.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; an associate degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy technology, logistics) is a plus.
- Prior experience in shipping, customer service, stock management, or pharmacy assistance within a pharmaceutical or regulated environment is highly desirable but will train the right candidate from a different industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in shipping and inventory management.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing other warehouse-related duties.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management and shipping software.
