Job Description
Manufacturing Planner-scheduler/supply chain AM Aerostructures Jacksonville, FL 32210 • Hybrid work Overview A Manufacturing Planner-scheduler/supply chain sourcing is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This involves developing master schedules, managing inventory, coordinating with various teams, and analyzing production data to forecast needs and identify potential issues. They ensure timely availability of materials and resources, monitor inventory levels, and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining production schedules: o This includes creating detailed schedules to meet customer demands, optimize resource utilization, and ensure timely production of products. Locating vendors for purchased parts. Locating suppliers for purchased parts and ensuring parts are received as needed for production Build BOMS and manufacturing plans in ERP. Import BOMS from PLM and ensure the BOM is current in ERP Using manufacturing templates to ensure manufacturing plans are correct. Analyzing production data and market trends: Manufacturing Planners analyze data to accurately forecast manufacturing requirements and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
Managing inventory:
They monitor inventory levels, implement strategies to minimize excess stock, and ensure timely availability of materials.
Coordinating with other teams:
They collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Troubleshooting production issues:
They identify and propose solutions to production bottlenecks or disruptions. Work with suppliers to solve manufacturing issues. This will include working with engineering as needed for solutions.
Maintaining records and documentation:
They keep accurate records and documentation related to production planning and inventory management. Ensure vendors are providing documents per company procedures. i.e. Change requests, waivers, quality report.
Skills and Qualities:
Past experience with Buy Planning, Manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business. Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems (M1) , PLM (Teamcenter), scheduling software) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management principles Understanding of supply chain management principles Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines This is a full-time position.
