The position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401K retirement plan. The Phone Operator/Scheduler responds to incoming telephone calls from patients, their families or health care professionals to make or confirm appointments with orthopedic physicians and to transfer calls appropriately. While their main job is to respond to incoming calls, the requests can be received via various methods.

Baptist Beaches clinic, 1577 Roberts Dr. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

Schedule:

Monday – Friday/40 hours/week

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following Respond to incoming calls, assist the customer with scheduling appointments with physicians or redirecting the call for clinical inquires Obtain and/or update patient demographic and insurance information Research and follow up on outstanding appointment requests including necessary paper work required for the appointment (referrals, authorizations, Skilled Nursing Facility consent forms, etc.) Provide appointment reminders Provide courteous, professional and accurate service to all customer issues. Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures
