Shore Manufacturing is seeking a Scheduler & Quality Control Coordinator to oversee incoming container scheduling, monitor daily quality control on the production line, manage customer complaints, and ensure compliance with NSF audits. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with logistics, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Logistics:
- Coordinate and schedule incoming containers, ensuring timely delivery and efficient unloading.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to prevent delays and optimize workflow.
- Track and document container shipments, verifying contents and identifying discrepancies.
Quality Control & Production Monitoring:
- Conduct daily quality control checks on the production line to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Identify and address defects or inconsistencies in materials and finished products.
- Work closely with production supervisors to implement corrective actions and maintain quality standards.
Customer Complaints & Quality Assurance:
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality, document findings, and implement resolutions.
- Maintain records of complaints, corrective actions, and trends for continuous improvement.
- Provide feedback to production and sourcing teams to prevent recurring issues.
Compliance & NSF Audit Preparation:
- Ensure all products and processes comply with NSF standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date quality control documentation and audit records.
- Assist in preparing for NSF audits, including compiling necessary reports, conducting internal audits, and addressing non-compliance issues.
- Implement and monitor corrective action plans following NSF inspections.
Boxes:
- Design and approve box layouts, ensuring branding and compliance standards are met, and coordinate with box vendors on production and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate and track incoming container shipments, ensuring box counts and product codes are accurate.
- Monitor quality of boxes used in production for defects, damage, or inconsistencies.
- Record and report box-related quality issues to production and sourcing teams.
- Work with warehouse staff to confirm proper handling, stacking, and storage of boxes to avoid damage.
- Maintain documentation for box quality inspections, including photos, batch numbers, and dates.
- Ensure all boxes used meet required specifications for NSF compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in logistics coordination, production scheduling, or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, logistics, and quality teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management or scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
