Someone who has experience in a physician’s office with obtaining new patient information, auto insurance, health insurance, scheduling and uploading items to chart. Knowledge of health insurance, auto accidents, workers’ compensation, and medical procedures is desirable. The chosen candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Main Duties:
- Processing referrals for new patients received by fax, email, and or phone calls Translating new patient information from English to Spanish, and vice versa.
- Fielding calls and correspondence from Law offices and other entities
- Ensure to obtain all required and important information from the prospective patient
- Creating new charts in eClinicalWorks and updating charts with any and all correspondence in real time
- Engage daily with patients, attorneys, and other medical facilities
- Obtain medical records and imaging reports
- Schedule and confirm procedures, appointments and follow ups
- Be able to ensure that all necessary information is in the patient’s chart prior to their appointment and update charts accordingly
- Be comfortable with challenging patients and situations
- Be open to learning and training provided
- Case management including follow ups and communication with Law Offices The primary responsibilities are to take the acquisition of the new patient and ensure that necessary information is obtained prior to the patient’s appointment.
We are looking for someone who is a professional, has strong communication skills, detail oriented , bilingual, and able to prioritize tasks. We are also looking for someone who is absolutely a team player, extremely organized and able to multitask.
- It is necessary to have both office experience, and personal injury/PIP/MVA insurance experience.
