Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join their team. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will be part of the patient services department supporting various ophthalmology practices. The ideal candidate will have strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

  • What’s the Job?
  • + Receive patient calls in a high-volume call center environment and schedule appointments with the appropriate providers.

+ Utilize various systems to determine appointment availability and ensure timely scheduling. + Collect relevant patient demographic information, including insurance coverage and medical history. + Educate patients on the referral process and arrange for any necessary diagnostic testing. + Maintain patient confidentiality while taking on additional responsibilities assigned by the manager.

  • + 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field. + Strong customer orientation and servicing skills. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with patients in an energetic and empathetic manner. + Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
