This position supervises and advises the student members of the Union Productions team, leads the programming activities within the Union, and coordinates other campus-wide programming initiatives. Serves as a supervisor and advisor for the Union Productions and Club Downunder student programming board, including volunteers and paid student staff. Manages the daily operations of the Club Downunder, a student-run venue located on the lower level of the new Student Union building, including staffing, deposits, custodial and maintenance, security, food service, supplies, and procurement for the department. Attends and oversees two to three evening events per week, including weekends. Plans, implements, and supports year-round programs and events, summer orientation, and late-night programming. Develops, distributes, and compiles assessment and evaluation instruments among participants in Student Union programs. Participates in student committee meetings, Union Productions team meetings, and Student Union professional staff meetings to gain an understanding of the Student Union’s role within the Division of Student Affairs. Provides the Assistant Director with budgetary support and management of the department’s annual budget allocations. Creates and supports programming and events to generate revenue for the department. Collaborates with the Assistant Director and other Student Program Coordinator to develop Welcome Week, Family Weekend, and other large-scale campus programming and events. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in higher education or related field preferred. Prior experience with student programming and events. Leadership and direction in programmatic, budgetary, and operational functions. Experience with basic computer functions, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint). Can demonstrate effective customer service skills. Can train, supervise, and develop employees. Can utilize problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Demonstrate knowledge of student programs and activities.
