Job Summary:

The Assignment Specialist plays a key role in supporting crew deployment by ensuring compliance with international documentation standards and company policies. This position is responsible for securing and processing required documents for shipboard employment, maintaining adequate staffing levels, and coordinating logistical support for crew members. The role involves regular interaction with internal departments such as Shipboard Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.

Key Responsibilities:

Support crew deployment efforts by collecting, reviewing, and verifying required documentation. Ensure all international compliance requirements and internal policies are met for shipboard assignments. Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain accurate staffing levels. Provide logistical and administrative support to joining crew members, including travel details and onboarding instructions. Communicate effectively with shipboard and corporate teams to resolve any documentation or deployment issues. Maintain accurate records and tracking systems to monitor assignment statuses. Support reporting efforts through use of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1-2 years of relevant administrative, HR, or operations experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and general computer literacy. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across multiple departments.

Schedule:

Core hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00

PM Fridays:

Remote Some flexibility in start times may be accommodated.
