  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of scheduling or administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or home health setting.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, and private insurance guidelines for home health services is a plus. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, utilizing a computer for scheduling tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read and interpret schedules, electronic records, and emails. Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule clinical staff assignments, ensuring proper coverage for patient visits in compliance with the established care plans.
  • Manage patient visit schedules, update and adjust clinician assignments as needed based on availability, location, and patient needs.
  • Communicate scheduling changes or updates promptly to clinicians, patients, and family members as required.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to optimize scheduling efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to scheduling is accurate and up to date in the scheduling system.
  • Address any immediate scheduling conflicts and find solutions to avoid gaps in patient care coverage.
  • Provide administrative support to the home health clinical team as needed, including maintaining relevant logs and reports.
  • Uphold all compliance and confidentiality standards as outlined by the organization and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s Code of Conduct and all applicable laws, including HIPAA regulations for the protection of sensitive information.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and organization.
