$30.6K – $36.6K a year 10 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The cold station food expeditor acts as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the waitstaff, which ensures a steady workflow throughout the various departments of a restaurant. An expeditor is also responsible for facilitating kitchen orders, dish presentation, maintaining quality control, and monitoring food safety.
EXPECTATIONS
Prioritize with cooks and Sous Chef food timing for being delivered for room service and orders Control efficient volume flow of dishes for guest experiences Confirm dish presentation before leaving to the floor Manage inventory and ordering of items required for the station Familiarity with Food & Beverage delivery practices and handling methods Ability to work with minimal supervision. Communicates food orders from the kitchen tickets fired by our servers rapidly and accurately Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) Garnish dishes and ensure proper sauce placement Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) Make necessary corrections to order errors Keep the EXPO station stocked, cleaned and operating seamless Constantly communicating with servers for modifications and corrections Package to go orders and ensure all to go items are included
REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours Availability to work various shifts, including weekends Multi-tasking abilities Good oral communication skills Bilingual a plus ++ Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
