Permit Expeditor Ocean Consulting, LLC Miami, FL Job Details Full-time $45,000 – $55,000 a year 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Spanish Microsoft Excel English Microsoft Office Organizational skills Associate’s degree Entry level Time management Office experience Full Job Description Full-Time Permit Expeditor Wanted (Entry-Level) Ocean Consulting, LLC Ocean Consulting, LLC, a South Florida-based company, was established in 2007 and specializes in processing and procuring environmental permits for both domestic and international coastal and waterfront projects. We work closely with both developers and single-family home owners to obtain permits for coastal construction projects, which include environmental and building permits. A permit expeditor will be working with our project managers and clients to compile the documents needed to process building permit applications. They will track and monitor each stage of the building permit approval process, and ultimately work to hasten the outcome. Job Duties

  • Assist in submitting building permit applications and obtaining building permit approvals for various coastal/waterfront construction projects
  • Follow up with clients and project consultants on needed items for application package preparation
  • Stay aware of continuously changing building regulations and notify staff accordingly
  • Monitor active projects at various stages in the building permit application process
  • Take the initiative to assist in speeding up various project approvals
  • Will be required on occasion to meet with City officials to campaign for client projects
  • Be responsible for project data entry, and drafting of various letters/memos
  • Will need to able to grasp the understanding of various project drawings Applicant Requirements
  • Associates of Arts or Associates in Science degree, at least a minimum of 45 college/university credits, or 1-2 years of professional experience (preferred)
  • Prefer applicant with prior office experience, but not required
  • Must be a fast learner who takes initiative
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft software
  • Must have strong time management skills, well organized, and have the skills to work well independently, and with a team
  • Must have reliable transportation; office car can be provided for use
  • Be able to prioritize large lists of duties and finish tasks in a timely matter
  • Needs to be able to speak and articulate well in English
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus
