The Production Coordinator at Flight Power Repair Group is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and tracking production activities to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of aerospace components. This role serves as a key link between production, quality control, engineering, and management , ensuring smooth operations while maintaining compliance with FAA, AS9100, and company standards .
General Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule production activities, ensuring that work orders are completed on time. Track production progress, inventory levels, and material availability, addressing delays or bottlenecks. Assist in prioritizing jobs and work orders based on customer deadlines, capacity, and available resources. Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and technicians to ensure an efficient workflow. Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for audits and reviews. Assist in material planning and inventory control, coordinating with purchasing and warehouse teams. Communicate daily production status updates to management and other departments. Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste in production processes. Adapt to additional tasks or modifications to responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus. 2+ years of experience in production coordination, scheduling, or manufacturing operations. Experience in aerospace, aviation, or precision manufacturing is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a repair shop or hangar environment. Requires standing, walking, and the ability to lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds). Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements:
Understanding of manufacturing processes, work orders, and scheduling systems. Familiarity with FAA, EASA, AS9100, and
ISO 9001
quality standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production tracking software. Proficiency in Quantum (ERP). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical work instructions, and job travelers. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Must pass background checks and comply with safety regulations.
