Essential Job Functions:
- A key member of the production planning team that is responsible for using the ERP system, to create and maintain executable schedules for the production floor to align with customer orders, sales forecast and safety stock demands that are on time, accurate, and merge the needs of the production plan with manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to prioritize production runs based on urgency and customer deadlines.
- Participate in tiered shop floor reporting providing accurate and timely information related to schedule and prioritization of production.
- Analyze resource availability, material requirements and capacity constraints to level load production and build an optimized production schedule for short term and long-term success.
- Ensure the Planning Manager is adequately informed of production progress against schedule, notifying, and bringing proactive solutions to problems.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Communicate schedule changes to relevant departments and personnel in a timely manner.
- Manage and monitor the proper scheduling of shifts on resources within the ERP system, noting shift exceptions when necessary and ensuring alignment with production planning functions in APS and execution on the floor.
- Evaluate and adjust scheduling rules on resources when necessary.
- Monitor and report utilization of resources suggesting any changes necessary for efficiency improvement.
- Maintain and update documentation in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100 and the DMC QMS
- Promote and environment where planning team members are considered highly valued contributors focused on the success of the company mission and vision.
- Exhibit fact-based confidence, structured presentation, and respect for overall business strategy when communicating with all members of the DMC team.
- Strong desire to continue to learn and grow professionally.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or 2+ years demonstrated experience in the Planning/Scheduling of a Manufacturing/Machining/Assembly environment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, analyze, understand, and effectively manage the complex needs of manufacturing and to plan a successful production schedule is required.
- Technical experience in production scheduling and planning is required.
- Syteline/Infor/Cloud Suite Industrial experience preferred.
- CPIM Certification preferred.
- Proficient MS office skills required.
- Must be able to work with sensitive Information by maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism required.
- Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines prioritizing teamwork and optimism is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
