Operations Coordinator NewTerra Compost 109 Hummingbird Ln, Wildwood, GA 30757 About Us At NewTerra Compost, we’re passionate about turning food waste into a resource and making sustainable practices part of everyday life. We’re a small but mighty team, and we’re looking to fill a new role with a team member who is ready to roll up their sleeves, dive into hands-on work, and grow with us. About the Role The Operations Coordinator is a foundational role that offers a unique opportunity to learn every aspect of our composting operations. This person will take on a mix of responsibilities including compost collections, site work, deliveries, and special projects. Over time, the goal is to develop this individual into a leadership role—helping supervise operations and improve workflow across the team. This job is perfect for someone who is passionate about sustainability, thrives in a physically active and outdoor environment, and wants to be part of building something meaningful. What You’ll Be Doing Compost Pickups (40%)

  • Driving collection routes and picking up food scraps from customers. Deliveries (20%)
  • Delivering finished compost and other products. Site Work & Projects (40%)
  • Working hands-on at the compost site, helping with processing, maintenance, and operational improvements.

Supporting team members and covering routes when others are out. Pitching in on equipment checks and preventative maintenance. Managing multiple ongoing tasks and small projects. Communicating with the team and customers in person, by phone, and over email. Collaborating with owners and team members to plan and improve operations. What We’re Looking For Strong interest in sustainability, agriculture, environmental science, business or a related field. Excited to work with food scraps and compost in all weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without supervision. Strong time management and project coordination skills. Effective communicator with a can-do attitude and team spirit. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment maintenance. Clean driving record and valid driver’s license. Ability to pass a drug screening and periodic testing. Access to reliable transportation to/from worksite. Bonus Skills (but not required) Previous experience in composting, landscaping, farming, or similar hands-on work.
