Responsibilities Coordinate food orders between the kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery to guests. Assist in food preparation and presentation, adhering to restaurant standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, ensuring all tools and equipment are readily available. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, and any potential issues. Support bussing duties as needed, ensuring tables are cleared promptly for incoming guests. Collaborate with culinary team members during busy service periods to maintain workflow efficiency. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure it meets established standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred, particularly in roles related to culinary or customer service. Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen staff and servers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food preparation techniques is a plus. Knowledge of banquet service operations is beneficial. A positive attitude and willingness to help team members as needed.
