Cost Estimator Scheduler 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 About the Position We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Estimator Manager to join our growing team in Peachtree Corners, GA. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of general contractor estimating and managerial experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will perform all aspects of management in the Estimating Department. Leads estimating team in the securement of new work. Maintains a good working relationship with Program Managers, Operation Managers, Project Managers, and others in operations. The Cost Estimator Manager is also responsible for preconstruction activities and acts as a liaison to business development managers. This includes managing the bid team, developing the bid strategy, maintaining subcontractor relationships, and training other employees. Completely familiar with Pond’s production history/capabilities and has a complete understanding of subcontracting and procurement strategies. Develops and maintains positive client relationships to foster repeat business for clients. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter. Required Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineer, Construction, or a combination of other degree/education and preferred, related industry experience 5 years of Cost Estimating with Managerial experience Experience with General Contractors and/or Subcontractors in the Industrial Industry Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft Office Suite products Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally Excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally at Pond and externally to potential clients Must be self-motivated, proactive, results-driven Ability to travel roughly 20% of the time for necessary business functions Preferred Bilingual in Spanish Mechanical or electrical background Proficiency with CRM tools such as Deltek, Autodesk, etc. About Pond Pond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years. Additional Information Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Mechanical Engineer III with a salary range of $75,900.00 – $116,000.00 . Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
