Job Overview:
The Operations Support Specialist is a dynamic, multi-functional role responsible for coordinating upcoming installations, dispatching field technicians, and supporting daily service operations. This position works closely with the installation team, dispatching team, and service management to verify technician availability, equipment readiness, and service scheduling. This role also serves as a backup dispatcher to ensure uninterrupted operations when coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Service Coordination Coordinate upcoming installations with the installation and dispatching teams. Confirm the availability of required equipment and ensure all logistical elements are in place. Validate technician availability and coordinate schedules accordingly. Communicate effectively with the Service Manager to resolve any questions or conflicts. 2. Dispatch and Schedule Management Receive and triage incoming service requests via phone, email, or system input. Schedule and dispatch service technicians for daily and emergency calls. Prioritize and balance technician workloads for maximum efficiency. Maintain awareness of technician locations and job statuses. 3. Customer Communication Contact customers to confirm appointments and provide service updates. Respond to customer inquiries and ensure a high standard of professionalism. Address concerns or service-related issues in a timely and courteous manner. 4. Backup Dispatcher Duties Provide dispatching coverage when team members are out. Assist in filling gaps during peak workload periods. 5. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of all service and installation-related activities. Document technician notes, customer feedback, and service results. Generate reports for internal use to track performance and issues. 6. Emergency and Weekend On-Call Support Serve in an alternating weekend on-call rotation using a company cell phone to handle emergency service requests.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or operations coordination preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Clear and professional verbal and written communication. Ability to think quickly and adapt under pressure. Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Field Point and Microsoft Business Central a plus. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on solution-based support.

Alternating weekend on-call for emergency service coverage
Pay:
$15.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
