Production Planner (2nd Shift)

100% Onsite | 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday, 4:45 PM – 3:30

AM Position Overview:

Stellantis is seeking a Production Planner to join our dynamic team at the Covington, GA facility. This role is critical in driving daily and weekly production activities for our aircraft assembly operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. As a key link between planning and execution, the Production Planner will ensure efficient workflow, resolve operational challenges, and maintain alignment between production targets and workforce readiness. In addition to planning responsibilities, this role will also serve as the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor during planned and unplanned absences.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze daily production status and define job activities for the assembly team. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Process Engineering to assess quality notices, production disruptions, and material availability. Monitor real-time production status with assembly supervisors and team leads. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including build progress, labor hours, rework rates, and defect metrics. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering to obtain and update Work Instructions. Lead shop floor process improvement initiatives and implement solutions to increase efficiency. Support the 2nd shift Assembly Production team as acting supervisor when necessary. Escalate critical issues, recommend corrective actions, and participate in root cause investigations. Ensure smooth handoff of information across shifts and maintain clear documentation of progress and challenges.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Operations , Aviation Manufacturing , Engineering , or a related field. Minimum 3 years of production planning experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing. Solid understanding of aviation operations and manufacturing processes . Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) . Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including with Senior Leadership. High-energy, agile, and hands-on mindset with a passion for problem-solving. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift.

Work Conditions:

This is a full-time, onsite position on 2nd shift (4:45 PM – 3:30 AM, Monday-Thursday) . Overtime or shift flexibility may be required based on operational needs. #
