Job Description:
SCOPE :

The scope of this position is to schedule surgical procedures and ensure seamless coordination between the clinic, surgeons, and hospitals. This includes confirming OR availability, coordinating pre-operative requirements, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders. The employee shall demonstrate the ability to provide care and customer-focused services with all individuals who enter the practice. It is also imperative to assist fellow employees in providing the highest quality personalized patient care and maintain positive work relationships with other members of the healthcare team.

FUNCTIONS

1. Coordinate Surgical Scheduling 2. Manage Surgeon and OR Availability 3. Pre-Surgical Preparation Coordination 4. Patient Communication and Coordination 5. Other duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED. 2 years’ of scheduling in a clinical setting required Surgical or Oncology scheduling experience preferred Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines. ICD-9/10 and CPT coding a plus.
