Position Summary The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Love Our Schools, ensuring smooth internal operations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. This position plays a key role in supporting the Executive Director, board, staff, and external partners by managing administrative duties, event logistics, and operational systems. The Operations Coordinator will implement strategic initiatives and manage key projects to enhance efficiency and sustainability in alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Operational & Administrative Management
- Oversee internal operations to ensure efficiency in office administration, project timelines, and workflow optimization.
- Develop and refine processes, policies, and procedures to enhance effectiveness and streamline operations.
- Manage organizational technology tools, ensuring staff have the necessary resources for optimal performance (e.g., CRM systems, communication platforms, financial software).
- Assist the Executive Director with fundraiser action items and maintain fundraising timelines. Financial & Compliance Oversight
- Assist in the development and management of Love Our Schools’ annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer.
- Monitor and track financial transactions, working closely with the accountant/bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial reporting. Event & Program Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of organizational events, ensuring smooth logistics, vendor coordination, and operational support.
- Work closely with staff to ensure that events and initiatives align with operational capabilities and strategic goals. Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of operational management experience, nonprofit knowledge, and a proactive mindset.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in nonprofit operations, administration, or a related role.
Leadership & Initiative:
Ability to take ownership of projects, problem-solve, and improve processes independently.
Organizational & Analytical Skills:
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and manage competing priorities effectively.
Financial & Compliance Knowledge:
Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting, bookkeeping, grant reporting, and regulatory compliance.
HR & Office Administration:
Experience managing general office operations.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and nonprofit management tools (e.g., CRM, financial software, project management tools).
Collaboration & Communication:
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
