Responsibilities Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and medical staff to ensure optimal timing and resources. Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and file documentation related to surgeries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and address any questions or concerns they may have. Assist in the management of medical collections related to surgical services. Collaborate with administrative staff to streamline scheduling processes and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience in medical scheduling or a similar administrative role is preferred. Knowledge of ICD-coding, medical collection processes, and insurance verification is essential.
