GED Full Job Description Position Overview:

This position supports the overall operations of assigned fleet vessels to meet operational goals, with an emphasis on M&R interface, HELM Compliance, daily operation of vessels, efficient crew scheduling, payroll, mariner

compliance and vessel availability with respect to regulatory due dates. This role ensures that crews, vessels, and equipment are properly coordinated to meet customer needs while maintaining safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Operations Coordinator works directly with the Operations Manager to ensure policies are followed, troubleshoot operational challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure dispatch has adequate amount of assets available to achieve optimal service

Position Expectations:

Daily Operations Execution Ensure vessels and crew are available to meet customer requirements. Monitor vessel movements, crew assignments, and jobs to ensure timely and efficient service. Address operational issues such as delays, weather impacts, or last-minute schedule changes. Monitor HELM daily to ensure the crews are fulfilling HELM requirements Safety & Compliance Support Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and maritime industry regulations (USCG, OSHA, environmental laws). Report safety incidents, near-misses, or compliance concerns to the Operations Manager. Crew & Personnel Coordination Assist in scheduling crew shifts and ensuring proper staffing levels for daily operations. Participate in the Payroll approval and processes Support training initiatives and ensure crew members follow company policies and procedures. Address minor personnel issues and escalate concerns to the Operations Manager when needed. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight Monitor vessel readiness, reporting mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the maintenance team. Assist in coordinating scheduled maintenance and unplanned repairs to minimize operational disruptions. Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and vessel inspections. Reporting & Operational Support Ensure HELM records of vessel movements, job completion, and crew activities. Manage vessel requisitions and onboard Stock Assist in compiling reports for the Operations Manager regarding operational performance and challenges. Identify and recommend small-scale improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

Related maritime experience

Preferred Experience:

1+ years of maritime related experience

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position varies and may include indoor office-based work and vessel attendance.

Physical Demands:

Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching. Position may be required to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

Travel Requirements:

Quarterly visits to respective vessels

Work Schedule:
