Kitchen Operations Coordinator Sweet Olive Market and Bakery Mandeville, LA 70448 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in coffee shop/cafe/market environments, and possess a keen understanding of food preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute menu items effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, offering creative ideas for seasonal dishes or specials. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices. Participate in the daily setup and breakdown of the kitchen operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation. Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration within the dietary department. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
