summary: Brown University Health is looking for an enthusiasticScheduling Coordinator for our Revenue Cycle department supportingradiology and imaging patients.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling of patients into the Imaging Department for diagnostic examsfrom internal and external referrals Communicating with patients andprovider practice personnel by telephone and electronic means Answeringphone calls from provider practice staff and patients regardingprocedures that need to be scheduled or rescheduled Ensuring accurateinformation is in all records and systems Other information:
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of imaging and radiology terminology andprocedures is a plus Requires appropriate time management skills.
Ability to process multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
Ability to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to maintain apleasant demeanor and appropriate body language when functioning in astressful environment. Must be able to function independently. Maintainsa neat and professional appearance. Ability to communicate verbally withpatients staff and Physicians. Must be able to relate to diversepatient/visitor populations effectively. Maintains a neat and organizedworkspace. Computer skills appropriate to the tasks assigned. Typing andsecretarial skills necessary to perform a variety of duties assigned bythe Imaging manager.
EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent Twoyears of college or secretarial school medical terminology and computerskills preferred.
