Please visit www.ccscambridge.org to learn more about our work. The Operations Coordinator for CCSC can expect to:
- Coordinate all aspects of the school nutrition program, including:
- Manage relationships and contracts with food service providers and vendors
- Act as CCSCs liaison to the MA Dept. of Public Health, ensuring CCSCs compliance with Massachusetts Professional Nutrition Standards and regulations
- Create, disseminate, and catalog menus and meal order forms
- Coordinate the set up and distribution for all meals, ensuring accurate records of students served
- Complete required role-specific professional development training, such as Servsafe Manager certification (before the school year begins) and the Nutrition Manager certification through the Johnny C. Stalker Institute of Nutrition (by the end of the first school year
- Coordinate substitute teacher coverage:
- Arrange for and assign substitutes to fill faculty and staff absences, both full and partial days, to ensure adequate classroom and duty coverage.
- Act as a sub in classes or duties as needed when internal or external coverage isnt available.
- Receive and review sub plans from teachers, create organized schedules and plans for substitutes
- Act as point person for staff who need to call out of work before school starts or during the school day (manage Sick Line phone number and coverage email address)
- Find internal coverage when needed, track internal subbing and compensation rates
- Assist with hiring and training of new substitute teachers in collaboration with other staff
- Assist in the administration of state and internal assessments as needed
- Support reception staff with front desk responsibilities as needed
- Support with coverage for other operations staff as necessary (nurse, testing, etc
