100% onsite Overview Under the direction of the Operations Manager Linen Services, the Linen Coordinator responsibilities include inventory management, purchasing, and quality control for all departments using linen, lab coats, scrubs, curtains, and slings throughout the institute. The Linen Coordinator upholds the linen and lab coat standards and works collaboratively across the institute to meet performance expectations. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and linen industry standards. Stays informed about changes in regulations and updates practices accordingly. Responsibilities Provides onsite multi-campus support (Chestnut Hill, Longwood, and the Satellites) as required. Troubleshoot with Operations Manager, all routine problems and inquiries relative to the linen department’s functions and operations. Performs lab coat fittings and submits lab coat orders to uniform supplier as required. Maintain linen inventory levels in the linen rooms through the management of appropriate par levels. Assures necessary linens are supplied, preventing disruption of normal routine. Maintain accurate records of all linens, scrubs, curtains, and slings delivered and collaborates with customer as required to evaluate usage and costs. Collaborates with Environmental Services involving soiled linen collection and distribution processes as required. Participates in department quality improvement/performance improvement processes. Assists Operations Manager to generate reports to assess vendor performance, inventory levels, quality control measures, and to identify areas for improvement. Assists Operations Manager on task forces and sub-committees to maintain and improve the integrity of the supply chain and/or department’s service offerings for the overall environment of patient care. Assists Operations Manager with cost savings initiatives in inventory management and linen purchases. In conjunction with Operations Manager, champions linen education throughout the facility, assists with schedule and/or facilitate linen education. Delivers linens, lab coats, curtains, scrubs, and slings to assigned storage locations as required. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of linen and lab coat experienced preferred. Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and managing linen inventory is preferred. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
