The Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston,Inc. ‘s (A&BC) mission is to strengthen a vibrant artsmunity by providing space readiness training, quality direct legal and business services, and ongoing educational programs to the artists and culturalanizations within Massachusetts. Programs include business training for artists and creative entrepreneurs, pro bono legal services, and cultural land trust real estate initiative.
A&BC has locations at the Midway Studios, 15 Channel Center Street, Boston, MA, the Western Avenue Studios & Lofts in Lowell MA, and The Star Store Arts Center in New Bedford.

TIME STATUS & SCHEDULE

The position is full-time, M-F, with some nights and weekend events as needed. This position will be based in our Boston Midway Studios, 15 Channel Center Street, office.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Operations, Program and Development coordinator is a new and critical full-time position focused on supporting, strengthening a rapidly growing arts non-profitanization. The coordinator helps build and maintain a donor acknowledgment system, assists in donor relations and events, maintains records for grant-funded projects, and assists with preparing and submitting reports. The coordinator position supports theanization’s Development and Programs Manager in all aspects of operations, programs management,munications management and fundraising support. The ideal candidate thrives inanizations and d spaces that value novel approaches to problem-solving, strives for transparency, brings a positive approach to challenges, has a mind for troubleshooting, and supports the independent and collective goals of theanization and our constituents. This is an excellent role for a self-starter who takes pride in their work and ownership over their projects and isfortable floating between both collaborative and autonomous tasks.

JOB MISSION

Develop and maintain internal systems that support a culture of philanthropy, support responsive artist centered programs that serve our diverse constituents and amplify our capacity to respond to new opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the Development and Operations Manager to provide monthly updates to strategic partners (COA, A&BC Board, Fellows) about education, fellows, events, and opportunities. Including the creation ofmunications, receipt of materials and invoices, and maintaining up to date information and event listings.
  • assess, manage, and implement critical Development Department upgrades. o Bloomerang CRM (e.g., systems and protocols for gift processing and timely donor recognition by external vendors, day-to-day entries and corresponding acknowledgment letters, prospect entry, and event attendee tracking).
  • Grant and Foundation support including grant applications, meetings, reports, research andmunications.
  • Provide administrative support in operational practices to set procedures, policies, and processes.
Qualifications:

(QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES):

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the arts or a related field.
  • Experience working in the arts, preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in CRM, preferred
  • Advanced writing andmunication skills.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion and responsibility.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Service oriented with the ability to move between multiple constituents.
  • Works independently, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
HOURS:

This is a full-time non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 2 days of in-office work required, with remote work option for 3 days per week. Select weekend and evening work may be required around events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation is $40,000, with 15 paid vacation days, 12 paid holidays, 60 hours of personal time, and subsidized healthcare, matched retirement program through the State’s CORE program, life and long-term disability coverage, and access to dental and vision benefits.
