POSITION SUMMARY:
The Radiology Scheduling Coordinator performs general office work, greets patient, takes written orders from physician’s offices for Radiology procedures, schedules patient appointments in the correct order and provides prep instructions to patients/providers in preparation for examinations. The Scheduling Coordinator also answers phones, works on multiple work queues to schedule patient appointments and places appointment reminder calls. Scheduling Coordinators are also trained for receptionist duties to include checking patients in for their procedures and assuring patients go to and from the lab, as well as answer phones.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; typing skills, ability to deal effectively with people, ability to maintainposure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations, pleasant attitude, neat appearance, excellentmunication skills, telephone etiquette and customer service oriented.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, PRN – as needed only. Other details
