Job Description

The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos’ is seeking a Material Control Specialist in the Long Beach, MS facility to provide logistics, logistics planning and support of a growing, fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Participate in team meetings to understand, influence, and support project planning and deadlines. Receive material into the warehouse Perform inspections on incoming deliveries Receive material into the inventory control system (ServiceNow) Receive program requests for shipments of equipment internally and externally. Plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production Maintain clearly organized warehouse spaces, controlled inventory cages, and shipping and receiving office. Prepare shipments for delivery and organize/schedule trucks Audit quotes for accuracy, obtain required price reasonableness and competition in accordance with FAR and Leidos procurement policies for shipments. Update project material tracking spreadsheets. Update and following documented procedures for receiving and shipping. Creating shipping documents and packaging material for shipment. Perform logistics support for the team to perform equipment configuration. Completing DD1149’s and all material transfer documents. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years related work experience, to include experience with inventory database software. Previous experience in inventory maintenance. Experience performing online database entry, update, and lookup activities. Strong computer and internet research skills. Ability to operate related office equipment and personal computer software packages to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Possess strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to balance multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Work well with all levels of internal and customer management and staff is essential. High level attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Current Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. US Citizenship Preferred Experience Associates degree or higher DoD or Military Logistics experience Experience with ServiceNow Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Forklift certified

Pay Range:
