The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient’s surgical procedures at various entities in accordance with established protocols. Obtain the appropriate information, orders and clearance from the surgeon. To be considered for this opportunity, must have 2+ years of experience or more scheduling surgeries (prior authorizations, confirming benefits, calculating cost of surgery, deductible met, etc.) High volume practice!

Verify Insurance benefits Obtain insurance pre-certifications and collect money Great customer Service skills Must be well organized Good Communication Skills Be able to work in a fast paced environment Practices with ethical and legal guidelines Knows and demonstrates patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, and protection of patient Knows and demonstrates surgery paperwork requirements Knows and demonstrates consent protocol for clinic surgery procedure Problem solves paperwork and provides an expedient solution, as needed Maintains records and reports of any cancellation and rescheduling of patients as well as notifying physicians of the changes Works with clinic supervisors to problem solve surgery sign up Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED 2 + years of surgery scheduling experience
