Job Description
DescriptionPrimary Purpose:
The Wire Specialist I plays a critical role in Cadence Bank’s Wire Operations department, possessing comprehensive knowledge of wire processing activities and providing support to customers, bank employees, and the Wire Operations Manager. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate various systems and procedures efficiently..
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Process all incoming and outgoing wires accurately and efficiently.
Respond to phone calls received by the Wire Operations department, providing assistance to both internal and external customers.
Process wire returns on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist internal employees and customers with wire-related inquiries via email and phone, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Handle trace requests from clients and internal teammates, tracking and documenting wire transactions as needed.
Create and maintain customer profiles for new and existing wire clients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Process Netrax documentation and assist with any wire research requests received from internal stakeholders.
Support the processing of drawdowns and provide reporting information on transactional activity as required.
Utilize Payplus Wire processing knowledge to meet late shift requirements when necessary.
Stay informed about and comply with Federal Reserve Rules and Regulations, maintaining adherence to banking standards and protocols
Job Specifications:
Ability to cultivate strong partnerships with teammates and other departments, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and Google applications, with the ability to navigate banking systems effectively.
Strong work ethic with the capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of general wire processing concepts, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Adaptability to change and willingness to work in a detail-oriented environment.
Familiarity with Cadence Bank systems is desired but not required.
Commitment to continuous self-education and improvement to enhance job performance.
Adherence to the policies and procedures approved by Cadence Bank.
Minimum up to 2 years of prior banking experience, preferably in wire processing or a related field.
