Master Scheduler Master Scheduler Overview:
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) at the Byhalia, MS Manufacturing Center, ensuring production aligns with customer demand and maximizes capacity utilization.
Master Scheduler Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years of equivalent experience in manufacturing, production scheduling, engineering, or related fields APICS Certification preferred Experience with ERP software; SAP experience is preferred
Master Scheduler Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand and optimize productive capacity Establish and communicate accurate delivery promise dates for EOX to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) Lead scheduling efforts to ensure accurate and timely information is available for material and capacity planning Facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Supply meeting to assess capacity, service levels, performance against schedule, labor needs, supply chain strategies, and resource implications Coordinate daily with production, procurement, shipping, and CSRs to identify constraints and develop effective solutions Collaborate with CSRs to address special scheduling requirements Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant leadership, including manufacturing and supply chain teams Identify and implement opportunities to improve scheduling processes and efficiency Track and report on scheduling performance metrics, including adherence to the plan Manage and balance workloads across manufacturing cells, translating the MPS into takt time requirements Supervise and manage Scheduling team, conducting performance evaluations and providing support for improvement Proactively identify potential scheduling issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them This role plays a critical part in ensuring production runs smoothly, meeting customer needs while optimizing resource utilization.
