Explore life at Fortune Brands hereJob DescriptionYou will be responsible for the development of the daily production plan by aligning production capacity with planned material availability to ensure high levels of customer serviceDevelop daily sequence to maximize customer service and plant performance while ensuring efficient use of components and plant capacity (balance load on production cells),Acts as the intermediary between New Bern production scheduling and Master Scheduling to set capacity levels and deliver optimum service performance.
Work with Master Scheduling to determine production priorities as needed as well as directing Material Planners of input spikes, material adjustments or planned promotions that may cause increased demand on critical components.
Maintains master data including lot sizing models to minimize production changeovers while maximizing customer service levels.
Drives focus on customer service with internal New Bern partners in Production, Quality, Engineering, New Products, Production Planning and Material Control external partners in Master Scheduling, Forecasting, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, and Transportation.
Communicate root cause of service misses and anticipated recovery plans. Prepare weekly service reports with detailed analysis of reasoning and action plan to prevent future occurrence.
Maintain a list of material impediments and communicate regularly with Material Planners and Master Schedulers. Ensure that Material Planners understand the impact of impediments to customer service levels and usage of production cells.
Develop staffing requirements with Focus Factory Manager based on customer demand using plant capacity tools.
Work closely with New Products to plan and adjust production schedule for EBRs, pre-pilots, pilots and production of launch inventory to support New Product introduction objectives. Identify and communicate any issues that may impede New Product’s planned course of action.
Utilize SAP business system to manage scheduling process. Work with department power user to increase system knowledge base & on-going training.
Provide mentoring and coaching to less seasoned schedulers while providing feedback to the Materials Control Manager.
Interface with O8, as necessary, to identify potential issues to plan and develop solutions in conjunction with extended team. QualificationsBachelors DegreeAt least 3 years of related experienceERP experience

Hiring Pay Range:
$55,000 USD – $88,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
